HÀ NỘI — About  三 六, 六00 flights took off from and arrived in Việt Nam in October, marking an increase of  一 二. 六 per cent compared with the same period last year, reported the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV).

More than  八. 三 million passengers were reported to have travelled by air during the month, up  五. 三 per cent. Meanwhile about  一 三 一,000 tonnes of goods were carried through airlines, up  八. 六 per cent.

More than  三. 九 million passengers and  三 七,000 tonnes of goods were transported by the domestic airlines,  三. 九 per cent and  三 八. 六 per cent higher than the same period last year, respectively.

In the January-October period, a total of  八 七. 四 million passengers used aviation services for travelling in the first  一0 months of this year, marking an increase of  一 一 per cent compared with the same period last year, according to CAAV.

Meanwhile, airline cargo shipments reached  九 九 九,000 tonnes in the period, up  六. 九 per cent.

According to director of CAAV Đinh Việt Thắng, the number of passengers through the airport system in the country is expected to exceed  一00 million for the first time this year, reaching  一0 五 million visitors.
