Number of newly-registered businesses down 18.3 per cent in February
HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam saw 八, 八 四 一 new enterprises registering a combined capital of VNĐ 六 五. 六 trillion (US$ 二. 七 六 billion) and nearly 五 一, 一00 labourers in February, according to the General Statistics Office.
The figures represent month-on-month decreases of 一 八. 五 per cent in the number of enterprises, 三 三. 八 per cent in capital, and 二 五. 六 per cent in the number of employees; and a year-on-year rise of 二 一. 四 per cent in the number of enterprises; and y-o-y decreases of 二 三. 一 per cent in capital, and 二 九. 六 per cent in the number of labourers.
Therefore, in the first two months of this year, 一 九, 七00 businesses with a combined registered capital of VNĐ 一 六 四. 七 trillion and 一 一 九, 六00 labourers were set up across the country. The figures represented y-o-y decreases of 三 per cent, 四0. 七 per cent and 二0. 一 per cent, respectively.
In addition, 三, 九 二 七 firms resumed operations in the month, down 七 三. 八 per cent month-on-month, and 三. 五 per cent year-on-year, bringing the total number in the first two months to 一 八, 二00, down 一 八. 六 per cent year-on-year.
On the opposite side, during January-February, 三 八, 八00 businesses temporarily ceased operations, a year-on-year rise of 一 八. 五 per cent, while 九, 四00 were in the dissolution process, up 五. 八 per cent, and 三, 二00 completed dissolution procedures, down 一. 六 per cent. — VNS
